Pie vs. Gym

It’s me again; Karol the Commish.  I love my job as Commish because I get to do what I do best: be bossy and deal with food. The thing is, I have a very important relationship.  It’s something I’ve been committed to for three months and I don’t want to give it up.  I’m deeply involved with Gym.

You see Gym may block my tasting of dozens of pies.  As a general health nut, I’ve visited Gym quite a bit over the years.  It was something causal and fun to make the time pass.  Lately though, we’ve taken our relationship to the next level.  He’s making me as strong as possible (check out my right to bare arms) and I’m working on my end to keep the healthy food at a maximum.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind an occasional cheat;  one cannot survive on protein and vegetables alone.  I can have a cupcake or a slice of pizza here and there but I can’t under any circumstances shovel the equivalent of an entire pie during the Pie Off.

What’s a committed woman to do?

She stuffs herself with fiber before the Pie Off so there’s no room for pie.
Ok, I won’t eat a box of Bran Buds.  I will eat a full breakfast of complex carbs (hemp shake and fruit) and protein (eggs) before the pie off.  It will make me less hungry and only will eat the pies I WANT to taste instead of every single pie because it’s there, smiling at me.  I think this will work for all of us.   We don’t  want to cry when we are home alone, staring at our guts in the mirror, and regretting that last slice of pork and peach pie (yes, that’s my submission), do we?
This is how to survive Pie vs. Gym: we both win in the end.
